Our Grants

Grants are made by the Harold Simmons Foundation with the goal of improving lives and enriching the community. We focus our support on Dallas area nonprofit organizations. Areas of interest include: education; health care, social welfare, civic improvement; and culture & the arts. We make grants for operating expenses, capital needs and special projects, generally in amounts ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 for first time applicants. In 2023 the Foundation distributed approximately $7.2 million dollars.
